Documentary research on emotions while driving in order to Increase the knowledge info we have on the incidence and Influence of emotions in the field of traffic and road safety.

The research study covers the following aspects:

  • Theoretical analysis of the various models of emotion,
  • Identification, categorization and description of the emotions in the traffic field;
  • Determination of areas of intervention to improve the experience of emotions in traffic;
  • To study specifically the role of emotions in communications

Ultimately, the research seeks to answer important old questions. We assume that emotions are important from the point of view of behaviour, especially in relation to decision-making processes. Thus, are our behaviour and decisions further product of emotion or reason? Do we think with our head or our heart? Therefore, since we want to understand human behaviour in research we try to answer other questions. Is it good to thrill, is adaptive? Is it every time? Can we say that there are positive and negative emotions? What are the criteria?

The tasks performed by members of the research team have been the characteristics of this type of documentary research studies: bibliographical search, bibliometric analysis, selection of documents, content analysis, integration of knowledge, inclusion of contributions and the writing of the final report.
