Quinteto Casulana

Daniel Labrada, clarinet

The Casulana Quintet was created by the initiative of a group of women musicians, coming from different professional backgrounds in Valencian music. Its name pays tribute to the figure of Maddalena Casulana, one of the first women composers who had printed and published music in the history of Western music.

Together with the clarinettist Daniel Labrada, they present American Rhythms: a concert program that showcases the rich diversity of current American music with works by Arlene Sierra, Florence Price and John Musto.
