2014 UNESCO Chair on educational projects for development convened

The University of Valencia’s UNESCO Chair on studies for development convenes the administrative and service staff and the teaching and research staff from the University of Valencia to present university cooperative projects and initiatives in the field of education for development and awareness. The period for presenting the projects ends on 10 November 2014.

The finantial envelope for this year’s call is of 26.300 Euros given by the University of Valencia to the Patronat Sud-Nord for the programme ‘UNESCO Chair on Studies for Development of the University of Valencia’.


The main objective is to support the initiatives, activities and organized projects by the members of the university community and encourage training on human and sustainable development in any discipline and also those projects that promote awareness on cooperation for development and the fight against global poverty. The selected projects will have to be done during the current academic year 2014-2015.


The nature of the projects can be that of courses, conferences, congresses, seminars, educational materials, expositions or campaigns formulated according the the Spanish cooperation and UNESCO.


With this call, the UNESCO Chair tries to collaborate, spread, stimulate and mainstream the studies on human and sustainable development in teaching, academic and social life of the University of Valencia as well as awareness actions in the matter.

This call is organized by the Office of the Vice-Principal for Internationalization and Cooperation and the Executive President in the Patronat Sud-Nord of the General Foundation of the University of Valencia.
