The Fecyt has distinguished the Cireic-España with the seal ‘Revista Excelente’

The Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT), from the Spanish Government, has distinguished with the quality seal of ‘Revista Excelente’ (Excellent Journal) the journal CIRIEC-España, journal of public, social and cooperative economy. It is the third time in which, after passing a rigorous evaluation process based on twelve quality indicators, the journal receives this quality seal that has been awarded to just seven journals dedicated to economic topics.

The journal, which has its headquarters at the Universitat de València, is directed by José Luís Monzón and its editor is Rafael Chaves. Both of them are professors of the Faculty of Economy and researchers of the Institute on Social Economy, Cooperativism and Entrepreneurship (IUDESCOOP). Moreover, the journal CIRIEC-España has been listed in the number eight among 122 scientific Spanish economy journals, according to the Journal of Scholar Metrics, a new tool from Google to measure the impact of scientific journals.

CIRIEC-España, a journal about public, social and cooperative economy is a four-monthly scientific journal of interdisciplinary projection. Its area of study is the one formed by companies and entities whose aim is the service of general or social interest, more precisely of social economy -integrated, mainly, by cooperatives, work societies, mutual companies, foundations and associations- and of public economy, prioritizing for the latter the social and labour, social cohesion and territory development policies.
