Capella de Ministrers closes today Monday the festival Serenates 2015

Capella de Ministrers.

The festival Serenates, organised by Universitat de València together with CulturArts, comes to its end with the last concert of this edition. Today, Monday 6, Capella de Ministrers will put end to 11 outdoor concert nights. The Valencian ensemble, conducted by the viola da gamba player Carles Magraner, proposes “Lo plant d’amor, a programme to read Roís de Corella”.

“Lo plant d’amor” is based in proses and poems of the Valencian writer from 15th century. Music to accompany verses and proses read by Daniel Tormo.

Since its creation in 1987, the group Capella de Ministrers, under the conduction of Carles Magraner, has developed an important research and musicological task in favour of the Spanish music patrimony, since the Middle Ages until 19th century. The result, transformed in music testimony, combines perfectly three key factors: the historic rigour, the music sensitivity, and specially, unstoppable desire of communicating and involving the audience to these experiences. He performed on the main stages and national festivals, and carried out international tours in France, Belgium, Romania, Portugal, Netherlands, Egypt, Italy, Germany, Morocco, England, Poland, Tunisia, Argentina, Brazil, United States, Mexico, Finland, Austria, Cuba, China, Croatia, etc.

He has recorded CDs for EGT, Blau, Audivis and CDM, his exclusive record label, which have received awards of the specialised press and the Spanish Ministry of Culture for the best record production, and the Premio Importante of Editorial Prensa Valenciana. In their record works have collaborated great figures, as the Nobel Prize awarded Vargas Llosa, the cook Ferran Adrià or the writer Espido Freire.
