Universitat de València professor Mercedes Gallent is offering this Thursday, 28th May, the conference “Herbs to cure. A medieval Valencian recipe book of the early XV century”, in the framework of the “Clàssics a La Nau” cycle, organised by Universitat de València and Acadèmia Valenciana de la Llengua. The act will take place at the Cultural Centre La Nau, at 19h.
The conference of Mercedes Gallent comes from the presentation of a manuscript which transcribes a medieval Valencian recipe book, written in Catalan at the lands of the Crown of Aragon at the beginning of the XV century. The entrance is free and subject to the capacity of the facility.
“Clàssicos a La Nau” is a conference cycle to approach the bibliographical treasures of the Historical Library of Universitat de València, which watches over unique works of essential value for the knowledge of the history and the Valencian culture.
Throughout this programme, Universitat wants to show its bibliographical patrimony not only to great researchers, but to students also, professors, readers and curious ones so that they can freely enjoy the texts and the beauty of the books.
