Participation time
Universitat de València deems appropriate to choose for the 32nd edition of Universitat d’Estiu de Gandia the “Participation time” slogan. With this, it is expected to reflect around the concept of participation, through several courses, workshops, conferences and panel discussions, as well as to highlight its transversal nature, through several points of view as environment, patrimony, art, science, law, TIC’s, social undertaking, ethics, collaboration and solidarity, health, social economics, etcetera. That is to say, a wide multidisciplinary range, which will ease the analysis of democratic and participatory action in the present society.

The new edition of the UEG, “Participation time”, will constitute a new academic meeting of reflection, to take a close look at democracy, to continue modelling the democratic system, action to action. Democracy is not only participating at elections, it is to expose the opinions, it is to train people, it is to be able to participate in the resolution of problems, and finally, it is to be in an active way in society.

Complete programme
The formative part of this edition will be completed with open activities to the citizens in general. In this edition, some open activities have also been programmed, both in panel discussions as in night activities. Complete programme of the XXXII UEG will be shown next week.
