‘Penev’ is a play about, used, tired and second-hand people. About mourning souls. An unfinished sticker album is like being second. You think you will get it, but you will not. ‘Penev’ talks about the dreamed past, about house party, about the Spotnicks, about Françoise Hardy, about a treacherous pavement, about Penev, about Arias, about Belodedici... It talks about football and theatre. Toni Agustí and Xavo Giménez dedicate a calmed scream to the fans and a new encouragement to the anxious audience. A desperate song to the spectators, so that they can cheer up a team full of frustrations, belonging to a limping world. To sum up, it wants to transmit that life is shit except when the ball is rolling or when the curtain raises.
