The Cultural Centre La Nau will host on Tuesday 23rd April at 19h the Panel discussion titled “educational policies: University”, which will gather all the political groupings with institutional representation that concur to the following elections to Corts Valencianes.

The today’s event is part of the “Electoral debates at La Nau” cycle, a number of panel discussions with which the Vice-Principal for Culture and Equality of Universitat de València, in quality of public service, intends to contribute to the social debate through the approaching of the leaders of the parties of the city facing the next elections. The social commitment from Universitat is found in its own Statutes of the institution, in which Universitat de València is established and it is “at service of the intellectual and material development of the cities” and “it actively projects itself on the problems of Valencian citizens” (art. 4 and 5)

The debate, which will try to analyse the situation and the challenges of the educational education industry -with special emphasis at the university teaching-, will have the participation of Jorge Bellver (PPCV), Miguel Soler Gracia (PSPV-PSOE); Oto Luque (Compromís), Lluís Torró (EUPV), Juan Emilio Adrián Serrano (UPyD), Fabiola Meco (PODEMOS) y Antonio Subiela Chico (Ciudadanos). The exhibition is organised by the Vice-Principal for Culture and Equality at Universitat de València, Antonio Ariño.

The event will be at the Aula Magna of the historical building and free entry until forum is completed. In order to make this debate accessible to a higher number of people, Universitat will also broadcast live by streaming this debate through its TV by IP (http://mediauni.uv.es/tv), from which it will later be able to watch the podcast. The panel discussion will be opened with some interventions from different political representatives and right after this, the public will be able to ask all their questions to the ones at the table.

The “Electoral debates at La Nau” cycle (#EleccionsNau, for Twitter) includes three more debates. On Tuesday day 28th April the “political culture” panel discussion will be celebrated and on 4th and 5th May, the political representatives of the different parties will debate about the autonomous politics in terms of cooperation for the development and gender equality, respectively. All of these will be celebrated at 19 and will be accessible online through MediaUni.
