Faculty of Psychology

WOP-P Master’s Degree (in Psychology of Work, Organisations and Human Resources), an international master’s degree coordinated by the Universitat de València, has got positive evaluation on the part of the EU’s Erasmus+ programme for the third consecutive year. This programme recognises all the European programmes of master’s degrees with international excellence in the areas of sciences, arts and humanities.

This year, 89 applications have been received, and 27 of them have got a positive evaluation. WOP-P Master’s degree has a 10-year trajectory and has been a decisive factor to place the Faculty of Psychology of the UV among the 50 best faculties of Psychology of the European ranking regarding teaching.

Students from more than 40 countries have taken part in the WOP-P Master’s degree. There is a graduate association comprised of around 300 alumni, and the employability surpasses 90%. The master’s degree requires international mobility and offers training based in scientific evidence. In this third period, WOP-P Master’s degree combines traditional topics of the field with other emerging challenges: sustainability through social corporative responsibility, innovation, entrepreneurship, project management, multi-culturalism, global thinking, diversity and inclusion.

The WOP-P Master’s degree is coordinated by the Universitat de València. The UV’s Research Institute of Personnel Psychology, Organizational Development and Quality of Working Life (IDOCAL) coordinates an agreement between European universities (Universitat de Barcelona, Università di Bologna, y Universidade de Coimbra) and international universities (University of Guelph, University of Brasilia, University of Baltimore, Universidad de Puerto Rico, Florida Institute of Technology, e Illinois Institute of Technology). In this third period, full university professor in Social Psychology of the UV, Vicente Martínez Tur, will be the general coordinator of the master’s degree.

The Master’s Degree programme follows the reference model of the European Curriculum in Psychology WOP-P, established by the European Network of Work and Organizational Psychologists (ENOP), and main guidelines developed by the EUROPSY model in WOP-P. It is a programme with European identity which aims at transferring European values to the students’ training who will later get prominent positions in different continents in firms, universities, public administrations and NOGs. The internationalization is a basic pillar of the WOP-P Master’s Degree, emphasizing dialogue with other cultures and the completion of the Master’s thesis with systems of jointly supervision and the participation of different universities and the organization of internships in international contexts. The teaching staff who coordinates the WOP-P Master’s degree has been invited to international congresses in different parts of the world to explain this experience in training and development of students; and has published this experience in international books dedicated to training in excellence.
