On 27 January, the working team for this Guide will meet at the headquarters of the Chair, at the Universitat de Valencia, to draw out the design of the Guide. The team is composed of:

  • Pilar Alguacil Marí - UV, Financial Law
  • Vicente Moliner - Intercoop, Coop AgroCV Lawyer
  • Sagrario Navarro - UCLM, Commercial Law

Miriam Mestre, from Agri-food cooperatives CV, will provide support.

The meeting will also be attended by the Pego, Viver and Benaguasil cooperatives, which are involved in the joint management initiative project.

  1. Caixa PopularCelebration of a Conference to disseminate the contents of the Guide.

Presentation of the Guide for the constitution and functioning of a Community Land Exploitation section, in a workshop format -3rd July. Sponsored by Caixa Popular

  1. Collaboration with Agri-food cooperatives CV in the Conference on “Legal, fiscal and accounting aspects of cooperatives” (in collaboration with the Diploma in tax and accounting management for cooperatives), with the title “Processes of integration of cooperatives: Inter-cooperative agreements”, to be held in October.
  1. Seminars with students from Valencian universities to disseminate the Agri-food cooperative model (UV/UJI).

Three activities are scheduled:

  1. Internships at the Chair for students from Valencian Universities.

 

The Chair for Agri-Food Cooperatives directs three Master’s Thesis to be read during the month of July.

The two students on work experience at the Chair have already joined:

María Teresa Puchol Tur, graduate in Economics and student of the Diploma in Tax and Accounting Management for Cooperatives, a degree awarded by the Universitat de València, who is doing her dissertation on “Indirect taxation in Agri-food Cooperatives” as part of the official Master’s Degree in Business Law at Universitat de València.

Martín Andujar Vázquez

 

Martín Andújar Vázquez, graduate in Economics, and student of the Master’s Degree in Social Economy of the Universitat de València, who is doing his TFM in taxation of Agri-food Cooperatives.

  1. Attendance at national and international scientific meetings.

The organisation of the workshop “Taxation of Co-operatives” at the congress of the European Research Committee of the International Co-operative Alliance ICA CCR European Research Conference, Athens, Greece, 8-10 July 2020, “Rethinking cooperatives: From local to global and from the past to the future”. (Postponed 2021)
