The University Training Program to Improve the Socio-Economic Skills of Young People with Intellectual, Developmental, and/or Autism Spectrum Disabilities (UNINCLUV) is a program funded by ONCE (National Organization of Spanish Blind People) and the European Social Fund. Its general objectives are:

  • To promote the inclusion and active participation of people with intellectual disabilities in the university context, society, and the labor market through the development of personal, social, and professional skills.
  • To develop personal and professional autonomy by ensuring that participants acquire the skills and knowledge necessary to manage their personal and professional lives independently and effectively.

Professor Irene Ferrando has collaborated with this initiative, teaching a 12-hour course entitled "Mathematics and Introduction to Finance" to improve the mathematical training of the participating students. In addition, as part of these activities, UNINCLUV students had the opportunity to attend a university class of the Primary Education Teacher's Degree on January 31st and to collaborate with students from group 2E of the Mathematics for Teachers subject in solving mathematical tasks. This has been a deeply enriching experience for both UNINCLUV students and undergraduate students, who have had the opportunity to see firsthand the importance of attention to diversity in the development of educational tasks.

The graduation of the UNINCLUV program students was held on June 20, 2025, and Professor Irene Ferrando has attended this event to share a moment of pride and satisfaction with them.
