The current challenges faced by our societies require much strengthened cultural and informative fields. On the contrary, precariousness, auto-censorship, commercialisation, banalisation or fake news occur much more frequently and threat these key fields for a good democratic health. With the goal of addressing all these matters, the Universitat de València’s Cultural Observatory proposes a seminar with cultural journalism professionals who will criticise the situation and attempt to identify alternatives and possibilities for the immediate future. Within this framework, a presentation will be done for the 2020 Valencian Yearbook, which was recently published and co-edited by Institució Alfons el Magnànim and Eina Cultural and addresses the impact of the pandemic in the Valencian culture through reportages, interviews and opinion articles.

On-site session, Aula Magna of La Nau Cultural Centre. Registration is free and required: https://www.uv.es/webinarslanau

The seminar can also be followed online via La Nau Cultural Centre’s YouTube Channel: http://www.youtube.com/c/CentreCulturalLaNauUV
