Reaffirming its commitment to generating specific knowledge for the cultural sector, this third volume edited by the Observatori has been published in open access by Publicacions de la Universitat de València.

Structured in the 3 sections that shape the subtitle—Reflections, Experiences, and Practices—this new , this new publication reflects on the intersections between culture and politics, with a special focus on the contemporary exercise of cultural rights and the risks of political instrumentalization of culture. It also shares experiences from projects that have achieved internationalization, revealing the strategies used to overcome the complex challenges involved. Additionally, it highlights local initiatives, emphasizing the historical significance of alternative spaces that, supported by autonomous management models, have contributed to the survival of proximity ecosystems and the construction of community identities.

Following an introduction where the editor—Raúl Abeledo Sanchis—and the coordinator—Marcia Jadue Boeri—share key insights into the academic and technical management behind the Observatori's operations, chapters written by experts with recognized trajectories are presented. Together, they form a highly relevant discourse under a cultural observatory tied to a public university like the Universitat de València.
