The Chair of Gender Digital Gap signed between Universitat de València (UV) and the Generalitat Valenciana, promotes a series of activities to reduce the differences of access, training, and employment between men and women regarding the use of Information and Communications Technology (ICT).
The workshop of ethic and responsible artificial intelligence with inclusive gender perspective is offered to people with a junior professional profile, both for the business and the scientific and academic fields (students of doctorates and post-doctoral studies). During this four-hour workshop, the contents tackled will be: what does Artificial Intelligence (AI) consist on and what risks does it have for gender equality, as well as how to develop strategies that allow to include the inclusive gender perspective, both if your job is to develop AI or if you use it only as a tool. Attendees will learn how to detect biases, measure their impact on the products that include AI, and redesign processes, dynamics, and models to guarantee the development and the responsible, ethic and inclusive use of AI.
The workshop will be carried out online on Wednesday, 14 October from 9:15 a.m. to 2 p.m., and it will be taught by Silvia Rueda Pascual and Anabel Forte Deltell.
Through the training that this workshop offers, participants will be able to understand what AI is and how does it work, as well as to identify common biased sources, to apply inclusive design principles and non-biased language to AI’s development and to its software, to evaluate models and systems with equity metrics, to suggest mitigation measures and an improvement plan.
This workshop is free with previous registration at the event’s web, and it has 30 places by order of registration. A registration confirmation will be sent once it is supervised by the organising committee.
