Biography
 

Dr. José E. Boscá is Professor of Economics at the University of Valencia and Associated Researcher at FEDEA. He holds the Advanced Studies Certificate in International Economic Policy from Kiel Institute for the World Economy (Germany) and a PhD in Economics from the University of Valencia. J. Boscá has been senior invited research fellow at the University of Kent and collaborates regularly as external researcher with the Spanish Ministries of Economics and of Finance, the Rafael del Pino Foundation and BBVA Research. He is coauthor of REMS and EREMS, two dynamic general equilibrium models that BBVA Research and the Spanish Ministries of Economics and of Finance use to simulate macroeconomic policies and to evaluate shocks hitting the economy. He has published numerous articles in well-known international scientific journals on economic growth, business cycles, regional economics and fiscal policies. Among others these journals include European Economic Review, Journal of Money Credit and Banking, Journal of Economic Dynamics and Control, Economica, Oxford Economic Papers, Economic Inquiry, Journal of Regional Science or Regional Studies.

Biography
 

Amparo Cervera has been a Full-time Professor at the University of Valencia since 2008. She has been positively evaluated in 6 five-year teaching periods and 4 six-year research periods recognized by the Ministry of Science and Education.

Throughout the years of dedication to the University, she has carried out research, teaching, management and knowledge transfer responsibilities. In all activities, she has prioritized individual effort combined with teamwork, rigor, and public service. Her transfer activity has been developed from the absolute conviction that she is part of the social responsibility of the Universities and of her research teaching staff.

She has been director of the International Institute of Economy (2016-2022). She has participated in more than 25 research projects, 11 of them financed in public calls and 14 are contracts with companies or institutions. She has been director of the City of Valencia Chair (2013-2015) and the Sustainable Economic Model Chair of Valencia and its surroundings (2017-2019). She has led several competitive projects with the SIV research group -service, innovation, value- that she directs. Highlight ENPI European project called Newcimed: new cities in the Mediterranean Sea Basin on the sustainable development of tourist destinations. Led (2017-2019) a competitive project within the Program for the promotion of scientific research, technological development and innovation in the Valencian Community on the sustainability of Cruise Tourism.

She is the author or co-author of more than 75 articles -60 of them indexed in Web of Science-, editor of 3 books and author or co-author of 35 books or book chapters, some of them of international diffusion. She has presented more than 150 papers at conferences and lectured to diverse audiences. She is now Managing Editor of the Int. Review on Public and Nonprofit Marketing -Springer-.

She has directed 13 doctoral theses, 10 of them financed by companies or institutions in a clear link with the transfer of science to economic and social reality. Three of them were awarded extraordinary doctorate prizes by their respective universities -Castellón and Valencia- and another by the Entrepreneurship Chair of the University of Salamanca as the best Spanish thesis in Entrepreneurship. She has also directed numerous master's and doctoral final projects.

She has been invited to participate as a member of commissions that have to judge the competitions for access to university teaching bodies nationally and internationally, as well as a member of doctoral thesis tribunals.

She has evaluated Research projects for ANEP (National Agency of the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation) as well as for the Directorate of Evaluation and Accreditation of the Andalusian Knowledge Agency (DEVA-AAC) and the European Comission.

Regarding research stays, note Victoria University (New Zealand), University of Birmingham (UK), Harvard Business School (USA), University of Beira Interior (Portugal), Paris XIII (France), Austral University (Chile). In Spain, at the Autonomous University of Madrid, Almería, Castilla-La Mancha and Barcelona.

Awards: 2008 Best Paper in Industrial Marketing Management (SSCi Journal); 2010 Awards for Excellence as Outstanding paper in Industrial Management & Data Systems (SSCi Journal). Presentation Award: 'Collaborating to innovate: effects on customer knowledge management and performance' from the Global Innovation and Knowledge Academy (GIKA 2014); 'Cross-cultural perceptions of onshore guided tours: a qualitative approach base don eWOM' (GIKA 2016); 'An approach to how perceived risk acts in tourist decision-making' (XXII International Tourism and Business Congress 2019); 'Social Innovation Capacity in cities: proposal of a theoretical model from a strategic collaborative perspective' (Intl Association on Public and Nonprofit Marketing 2020); 'User interface influence on information processing: effects of presence on cognitive load and understanding 2 (AIRSI 2023 (Artificial Intelligence; Immersive Technologies, Robots, Social Media, Internet of Things).

Biography
 

Dr. María Feo Valero is Associate Professor at the Department of Applied Economics II (Estructura Econòmica), University of Valencia. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics by the University of Valencia. Most of her professional activity has focused on research in the area of transport economics: initially at the Valenciaport Foundation as R&D project manager (2004-2012) and then as assistant professor at the University Jaume I of Castellón (2012-2016) and, since 2016, as associate professor at the University of Valencia and Associate Researcher of the Institute of International Economics (IEI). Within the area of transport economics her work has focused on the modelling of the freight transport demand and the analysis of its determinants through advanced discrete choice models and stated preference techniques. She has collaborated in competitive national research projects and international projects and her work has been published in international journals of the area.

Dr. Francisco Requena Silvente is Full Professor in Applied Economics at the Universitat de València. He got his Ph.D. in Economics from the London School of Economics. He was Reader in Economics at University of Sheffield (2013-2016) and Assistant Professor at University of California, Davis (2008-2009). His main research area is Applied International Economics, with special interest in international trade and international migration. His work has been published in several scientific journals including Review of World Economy, The World Economy, International Journal of Industrial Organization, Small Business Economics, Regional Studies, among others.

Member of the Research Group on "Innovative and Sustainable Solutions in Services" (SIV) at the University of Valencia. Over 24 years of experience as a teacher-researcher at the undergraduate, master's, and doctoral levels. My main research areas include service marketing with sector-specific applications in tourism, education, gastronomy, and sports, as well as innovation, value co-creation, and strategic marketing, branding, and consumer behavior.

Dr. Cecilio Tamarit Escalona is currently Professor of Economics at the University of Valencia. He holds an endowed "ad personam" Jean Monnet Chair in European Economic Integration and is a member of the INTECO joint research unit (https://www.inteco.uji.es). He was previously Senior Fellow at the Wharton School (University of Pennsylvania), Senior Advisor at the Spanish Prime Minister's Office, Visiting Fellow (and invited professor) at the University of Nottingham, University of Goettingen, Harvard University and Robert Schuman Scholar at the Research Department of the European Parliament. His main lines of research are Monetary and Fiscal Integration and International Trade and Macroeconometrics. He has published extensively in academic journals as Oxford Bulletin of Economics and Statistics, Journal of Banking and Finance, Economic Inquiry, Journal of Comparative Economics, Economics Letters, Journal of Macroeconomics or Economic Modelling.

Extraordinary Degree Award, PhD in Marketing with a thesis on cultural services marketing, and Master's in Cultural Services Management, in addition to being certified in Piano, Music Theory, Transposition, and Accompaniment.

With over 20 years of experience, she has demonstrated her passion and expertise in music, opera, and culture as a researcher, manager, marketing expert, university lecturer, and artist. Her professional and artistic experience in the cultural and performing arts sector is highlighted by a professional relationship of over 15 years with the Palau de Les Arts, among others positions. Currently, she serves as Secretary of the Amics de l'Ópera de la CV Association. She also performs as a pianist and choir member.

She pursues her own line of research in cultural, digital, and service marketing, with a recognized six-year research tenure. Her research focuses on analyzing audience behavior and consumer experience in both offline and online environments. She has collaborated on various research projects and has been published in prestigious journals such as Empirical Studies of the Arts, International Journal of Consumer Studies, Journal of Marketing Management, International Journal of Arts Management, Tourism Management Perspectives, European Business Review, Journal of Service Theory and Practice, Nonprofit and Voluntary Sector Quarterly, among others.

In addition to her distinguished research career, she has a strong commitment to knowledge transfer stemming from her multidisciplinary profile, regularly participating in over 50 conferences and other communication events to disseminate her research and expertise. Her professional experience within the university setting includes research through university-business contracts, as well as she is a teaching consultant at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya.
