The Biosecurity Committee of the Universitat de València was created thanks to an agreement of the Ethical Commission for Experimental Research of the Universitat de València on 17 December 2008.

Skills

It aims to advise the university in terms of management of biological risks and the compliance of the duties required in the regulations. Therefore, it will assess, certify and support scientific and teaching tasks that imply the use of biological and chemical agents, including those genetically modified (GMO), as well as the handing of potentially polluted biological samples.
