Félix E. Martin is Associate Professor in the Department of Politics and International Relations in the School of International and Public Affairs at Florida International University, in Miami-USA. His areas of specialisation include international relations theory, security/peace studies and international political economy. He specialises in the security and political economy of Latin America and Southern Europe. He is currently working on the “dis-development” notion, its theoretical foundations and its expressions in Latin America countries. The seminar-talk will present his progress and research on this notion, which will culminate in the publication of his forthcoming book “Dis-development in Latin America: A Comparative Analysis of Socio-economic and Political Regression", Edward Elgar Publishing Limited, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, U.K. (publication date set for December 2023).
