The call is now open to participate in the third edition of the course 'Entrepreneurship in the Doughnut Economics', a training action framed within the UVentrepreneurship Campus program that is funded by Santander Universities, which offers students up to 40 scholarships to cover tuition fees.
The concept of the Doughnut Economics, created by researcher Kate Rawoth (Oxford University), aims to reformulate the foundations of the traditional economic vision in order to incorporate the social and environmental sphere into the classic approach based purely on economic growth. In doing so, it aims to reduce inequalities and ensure environmental sustainability.
The course "Entrepreneurship in the doughnut economics" aims to bring this new market approach to the university entrepreneurial ecosystem, discussing the opportunities and challenges associated with this model. The aim of the course is for participants to understand in a simple and intuitive way how the Donut Economy works, to discuss the challenges and opportunities that this new economic approach means for entrepreneurial talent, to learn about success stories and to participate in processes of sustainable strategic ideation.
The course will be given by Pau Sendra, lecturer in the Department of Business Finance at the Faculty of Economics of the Universitat de València. This call is open to those enrolled in any Degree, Master's Degree or Doctoral Programme at the Universitat de València during the 2021-22 academic year.
The deadline for submitting applications to apply for one of the 40 grants funded by Santander Universities will be open until 4 April. All the information about the course and how to apply for a Santander scholarship can be found in the following link.
