The Dragon Boat Festival and the legend of white snake

The Dragon Boat Festival is celebrated on the fifth day of the fifth month of the lunar year in the Chinese calendar. It is also known as the Double Fifth Festival. This year takes place, following our Wester calendar, on Thursday 22 June, and is one of the most important festive celebrations of this country after New Year.
