On the occasion of the 250th anniversary of the birth of the Valencian composer Vicent Martín i Soler, his operaIl burbero di buon cuore was presented as the co-production of the General Foundation of the University of Valencia and Teatres de la Generalitat Valenciana. It was the contemporary premiere of this opera at the Teatro Principal in Valencia in October 2004, with Cristóbal Soler (conductor) and Tono Berti (stage director).
