The renowned Valencian pianist Rubén Talón comes with an assorted programme including some of the most iconic pieces for this instrument.
Each section will begin with Gymnopédies y Gnossiennes by Erik Satie, pieces which, with their hypnotic simplicity and latent longing, transport us to a world of introspection and quietness. Next, we’ll delve into the profound romanticism with Franz Liszt and his Valle de Obermann, a piece full of drama and philosophical reflection. The Segunda Balada by Frédéric Chopin, which also belongs to the romanticism, is a symbol of narrative lyricism and structural mastery of the polish composer.
On the second part we’ll meet with one of the pianistic virtuosity peaks: Gaspard de la nuit by Maurice Ravel, a triptych inspired in poems of Aloysius Bertrand equally combining mystery, fantasy and technical prowess.
