Synopsis
In 1921, Professor Luís Gonzalvo Paris of the Universitat de València founded the Archaeology Laboratory, a pioneering institution intended to develop both teaching and research activities and which later evolved into today’s Department of Prehistory, Archaeology and Ancient History. This book reviews the history of the department from the Laboratory’s inception to the present day—a journey spanning more than one hundred years that reveals not only the evolution of Archaeology at this university but also the development of the discipline as a whole.
