Britain’s first rocket has been successfully launched and returns to Earth, but communications are severed. Only one of the three astronauts remains on board but his health, both physical and mental, is badly damaged. He’s put under observation, but his wife takes him out of the hospital, thus freeing a great threat for humankind, as the survivor is being consumed by an extraterrestrial force.
