Inide and Outside is the proposal of the team made up of the historian Mélanie Ibáñez Domingo, Toni Morant, the artist Mar Juan Tortosa, the documentary maker Albert Pitarch Navarro and the collector Rafael Solaz Albert for a tour of Franco's prisons in Valencia in the immediate post-war period. These spaces were one of the main focal points of the violence of the dictatorship after the end of the Civil War, and the lives of a large part of the population revolved around them.

The axis of the exhibition is the material culture preserved by Rafael Solaz. In particular, the epistolary generated by the prisoners themselves and their families, as well as well-preserved objects from everyday life during the period.

This physical archive will be articulated with the installation to be created by the artist Mar Juan Tortosa, in collaboration with the architectural acoustics researcher Alberto Quintana Gallardo, where objects, space and sound will be the main material. Thus, from this contemporary perspective, the exhibition will focus on Valencian society in the immediate post-war period, paying specific attention to the complex repressive phenomenon articulated by the dictatorship since the war and studied for decades by historiography.
