Spanish Brass - Cor de la Generalitat

The idea of the Magnificat Brass project, for brass quintet and choir, arose from the Magnificat piece that the Alcireño composer Juan J. Colmer wrote in 2018 for Spanish Brass and which was first performed at the 57th Religious Music Week of Cuenca.
Javier Costa, who is very close to Spanish Brass and Francesc Perales, has composed the piece Lux aeterna, an excellent addition to this project, which will surely be released in a forthcoming album.
The Choir of the Valencian Government, its conductor Francesc Perales and Spanish Brass have wanted to collaborate for years, but it has not been easy to match their schedules. This Magnificat by Juan J. Colmer was the perfect excuse to continue working and designing a joint performance, in which these two emblematic groups of our region will finally meet on stage.
