The University Choral Society of Valencia (OUV) has opened the registration period for new members until October 1. The only requirement for these entrance exams is to be over 18 years old and be enrolled in any university or have studied music.
The University Choral Society is a young, energetic and courageous group dedicated to carrying out quality musical projects, while allowing its members to expand friendships and enjoy group singing and music.
The University Choral Society of Valencia is one of the most historic choirs in the city and is the oldest active university choir in Spain. With more than 75 years since its foundation, the choral society still exercises great vigor and exuberance.
A special musical programme has been prepared for the 2023/2024 academic year, which will include: interdisciplinary, symphonic-choral and a cappella performances; exchange and training programmes including classes in vocal technique and applied musical language; work in chamber groups; and the second edition of a specialized singing course.
Members of the choir cam receive free elective credits or ECTS credits, improve and complete their musical training, participate in new initiatives, as well as participate in trips and exchanges that will take the project beyond the Valencian borders.
