The Universitat de València has open the registration period for the Escuela de Verano (Summer School) 2026 that this year reaches its 30th edition with the motto ¨Mundos imaginados¨. The registration for the university community will be open from April 28 until May 7, and the activities will be held during the whole month of July.

With the aim of improving the enrollment process, this year, the registration period has been moved up. The first of the two registration periods will run from 10 a.m. on April 28 through May 7 and will be open to the university community. The second period of registration will be for members of the alumniUV and the general public—who have no affiliation with the Universitat de València—to fill any remaining spots will be from May 8 to 13. Registration must be completed through the Seu Electrónica UV

As a new change, registration for the school lunch program at La Nau Menuda must be completed at the same time as school enrollment, using a single form. Additionally, the cafeteria on the Blasco Ibáñez campus will be provided by the Faculty of Geography and History this year. In the case of La Nau Jove, payment for the cafeteria will be made later to the cafeterias providing the service.

‘Mundos imaginados’ (Imaginary Worlds)

The program will be held from July 1 to 31, at the facilities o Nau Menuda and will be addressed to students from second grade of preschool through sixth grade of elementary school, and Nau Jove, addressed to Junior High School students. Both share one educational idea based on personal growth, creativity and group work. A well-established educational entertainment program aimed at children and young people, under the slogan ¨Mundos Imaginados¨ (Imaginary Worlds) in 2026 invited to explore the creativity and imagination through the literally and artistic expression.

During five weeks, the participants will take part in activities organized around various themes. The first week, ¨Abrir el libro¨ (To open the book), it will focus on the identity and the creation of the group; the second week, ¨El bosque de las emociones¨ (The forest of emotions) will address emotional intelligence and self-awareness; third week, ‘El taller de los mundos posibles’ (The workshop of possible worlds), will encourage creativity and self-expression; the fourth week, ¨Explorar y comprender¨ (Explore and understand), will touch on scientific curiosity and diversity; and lastly the fifth week, ‘Cerrar el relato, abrir el futuro’ (Close the chapter, open the future), dedicated to the reflection and celebration of the lived experience.

The program includes alternative sports activities such as colpbol, kin-baile, ringol, or tchoukball, as well as play areas and self-management activities. When it comes to La Nau Jove, there will be some additional activities, like escape rooms, and literary scavenger hunts, creative writing workshops, body percussion, invention labs, and cooking activities inspired by imaginary worlds.

In addition, during the month of July various trips will be organized. One of the highlights will be a three-day stay organized by La Nau Jove at the “El Cerrao” Rural Tourism Center in Sot de Chera, featuring multi-adventure activities, sports, and scavenger hunts.

As part of this year's event, a drawing contest was also held to select the official image for 2026, which has resulted in the virtual exhibition “Imagined Worlds.” The exhibition, available this month on the Summer School’s website, features 25 creative entries from children aged 5 to 12 who are connected to the university community.

All  the information about the program, the requirements and the enrollment process can be found on the website of the Escuela de Verano (Summer School) of the Universitat de València https://www.uv.es/escolaestiu.
