The main focus of integration and transfer is on the promotion of German language and culture in primary and secondary schools. In order to achieve this, German workshops are designed and created with play and theatre activities, which are then implemented in primary and secondary schools. Both in schools where German is taught, in order to motivate students to learn German and create an emotional bond with the language, and in schools where German is not taught, in order to introduce it as an extracurricular activity.
Likewise, German is promoted through the presentation of the Degrees in Modern Languages and their Literatures and Translation and Interlinguistic Mediation to students in the 2nd year of the Bachelor's Degree.
Within our objectives of promoting the German language, we cannot forget to be present and work actively in the educational stages. INNOVA-TEA works on different initiatives:
- Theatre workshops in German as an extracurricular activity in primary schools, with the invaluable support of the Consultat General de Barcelona. Thanks to these workshops we bring the German language and culture closer to the students with an innovative methodology.
- Transfer conferences. Every year, we organise a conference in which students who study German in secondary schools can visit the Faculty of Philology, Translation and Communication, put their knowledge into practice and find out in situ how work is done in the area of German Philology at the University of Valencia.
- Collaboration with secondary schools by means of thematic workshops.
These activities are articulated around the following specific objectives:
Objectives of the section "Encouraging transfer between different educational levels".
- Design and creation of German workshops with games and theatrical performances for primary and secondary school pupils of different ages.
- Implementation of the workshops in primary and secondary schools where German is not taught in order to awaken the students' curiosity for the German language and culture.
- Implementation of the workshops by students of the Master's Degree in Teaching in primary and secondary schools where German is taught, in order to motivate students to learn the language and create an emotional bond with the language.
- Design of didactic units for future German courses as an extracurricular activity with playful-theatrical activities in primary schools, aimed especially at students in the 6th year of primary school.
- Presentation of the Modern Languages and Literatures and Translation and Interlinguistic Mediation degrees in secondary schools to students in the 2nd year of the Bachelor's Degree.
