
On 19 June 2026, Isabel Gutiérrez Koester gave an invited lecture at the Université Bourgogne Europe in Dijon, in the frame of the seminar of the TIL - Texte, Image, Langage research group.
The conference, titled “Narratives in Transit and Digital Cartographies: A Transcultural Analysis of German-Speaking Women Travellers in the Hispanic World”, presented the results of the “Construcción imagológica de España en la odepórica femenina de lengua alemana: sistematización desde una perspectiva de género” ('Imagological construction of Spain in the German-speaking women’s odeporic: systematisation from a gender perspective') project, as well as the main lines of the new group research proyect, focused on the extension of the corpus towards the Latin American world, the creation of a digital archive, and the development of digital cartographies.
The intervention allowed to present RIALE's research trajectory, as well as to reinforce the academic links with the Individu et Nation team at the Université Bourgogne Europe, especially with Philipp Jonke, maître de conférences in german civilisation and head of the Department of German, and with the professor of German studies Hilda Inderwildi. The visit was a highly valuable opportunity to open new ways of international and interdisciplinary cooperation regarding thestudy of intercultural representations, travel literature, and gender studies.
