
The ETTICs research group of the Universitat de València is organising on 4 November and 2 December a seminar for the 21st edition of the Jean Monet Tax Seminars titled ‘Rethinking modern tax systems’.
The seminar, which will be chaired by Professor Alfredo García Prats, with lecturers Carlos Pedrosa and Benjamín Sevilla as academic secretaries, will consist of two sessions. The first session will be held on 4 November and will be entitled ‘The Reform of the Tax System: The Report of the Committee of Experts’. Violeta Ruiz Almendral, from the Universidad Carlos III, will speak on ‘Challenges and diagnosis of the Spanish tax system’ and Francisco Adame Martínez, from the University of Seville, on ‘The reform of the IS and IRPF and the Committee of Experts’. The second session will take place on 2 December and will focus on ‘The reform of the regional funding system: the challenges ahead’. It will be attended by Sonia Díaz, Director General of the Valencian Fiscal Agency, who will speak on ‘The Regulation of Taxes Ceded by the Valencian Community’, and Rafael Granell Pérez, from the Chair of Autonomous Community Financing at the Universitat de València, who will speak on ‘The Report of the Commission for the Study of the Tax Reform of the Autonomous Community’.
This Congress has been organised by the ETICCs Research Group (International, Constitutional and Comparative Tax Studies) of the Universitat de València and the Jean Monnet Chair for EU Tax Law and Policy with the help of the Jean Monnet Project UE_SRIC_620108-EPP-1-2020-1-ES-EPPJMO-PROJECT SECOTAX, y del proyecto PROMETEO/2021/041, XXITAX of the Department of Innovation, Universities, Science and Digital Society, as well as the collaboration of various universities and institutions.
