The programme aims to train professionals and researchers specialised in the field of translation and interpreting, taking advantage of the complementary nature of studies between the two universities. The programme is structured in four semesters, two of which are completed at the home institution (Universitat de València) and the other two, at the host institution (Université de Bourgogne). The two semesters spent, each in separate years, in the host university, where the source language becomes the target language, promote high-level development in a foreign language and in translation.

Due to the different distribution of bachelor's and master's degrees in the French (3+2) and Spanish (4+1) university systems, the programme includes the 4th year of the Bachelor's Degree in Translation and Interlinguistic Mediation (TIM) for students from the University of Valencia.

It is also a multilingual programme with three compulsory working languages: Spanish, French and English. For this reason, it is offered to students of the Degree in TIM whose B and C languages are either French and English, or English and French. The four places offered each year are allocated through a selection process.

Participation in the programme is compatible with international mobility grants (Erasmus programme).
