Collaboration with the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz

During the academic year 21/22, La Nau Gran has started a collaboration with the 50+ program of the Continuing Education Center of the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz. We have jointly offered 4 online activities for the senior students of the two universities:

• Two editions of the German-Spanish language tandem.
• And two courses with English as the vehicular language:
  • Europe in the 15th Century: Gutenberg and the Borja Family.
  • Film, society and politics in Germany and Spain: an introduction tono R.W. Fassbinder and Pedro Almodóvar.

The purpose of this initiative is to establish a relationship of collaboration, learning and mutual knowledge between students and professionals of the programs for seniors of the two universities, which already cooperate in other areas and are partners in European alliances such as FORTHEM. In addition, it should be noted that the cities of Valencia and Mainz have been twinned since 1978.
