IDOL: Intergenerational Digital Service Learning
The Erasmus+ project "IDOL: Intergenerational Digital Service Learning" is a two-year research project funded by the European Commission. It started on February 1st 2022 and ended in January 2024. Identifier: 2021-1-DE01-KA220-HED-000031186
It aims to develop the Service Learning methodology from an innovative perspective, giving it a Digital and Intergenerational dimension. One of its objectives is to equip universities and their staff with knowledge, skills and resources to integrate this methodology into learning with older and younger students.
The results of the project are: the creation of a guide that defines the concept, as well as identifies and disseminates good practices in intergenerational digital service learning in universities and other centres, and the design of a "Toolkit" with digital tools and resources to train university staff in digital ApS. In addition, over the two years of the project, a new collaborative network will be created with the project partners, active in university service learning from different perspectives.
These are the project partners:
- Universitat de València
- Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz, Germany, which is the coordinator of the project.
- University of Vienna, Austria
- Folkuniversitetet of Sweden
- European E-learning Institute, Denmark
- Momentum [Educate+ innovate], Ireland
