Born in 1988 in Crevillent (Alicante, Spain), Cristian received his physics degree in 2011 from the University of València (Spain), although he also studied at Imperial College London (UK) and Universitat de Barcelona (Spain). After that, he studied a Master in Medical Physics at the Universitat de València. It was then when he joined this research group. From 2012 to 2015, Cristian coursed his residency program at Hospital Universitari i Politècnic La Fe (Valencia) to become medical physicist, at the same time that he worked on his PhD in the field of radiation protection of patients undergoing high-dose-rate brachytherapy. Since 2015, Cristian works at the Centro Nacional de Dosimetría (Valencia), focused on radiation dosimetry and radiation protection. He also teaches at the Master of Medical Physics of the Universitat de València. Nowadays, his research interest includes (but are not limited to) experimental dosimetry in radiodiagnostics and radiation therapy, radiation protection of workers and patients, and Monte Carlo simulations applied to medical physics.
