Goals

Our research activity is focused on:

  1. The analysis, from a cross-sectional and longitudinal evolutionary perspective, of the common oral and written language acquisition difficulties in populations with neurodiversity conditions, such as autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and intellectual disability (ID), or sensory deficits such as hearing loss.
  2. The optimisation of development of oral and written language in these populations.
What do we offer?

As a research group, we:

  • Develop and perfect the research paradigms of the development of oral and written language.
  • Train junior researchers in the research paradigms of the development of oral and written language.
  • Collaborate with entities (such as schools or associations) interested in the development of and training in programmes for evaluation and intervention in oral and written language.
  • Collaborate with families school-age children to develop programmes for evaluation and intervention in oral and written language in these populations.
Resources
  • Advanced knowledge of the research paradigms of the development of oral and written language
  • Extensive experience in using standardised diagnosis, evaluation and intervention instruments in the field of development of oral and written language
  • Extensive experience in using specialised techniques for behaviour monitoring, such as the Eyetracker.
