An important number of members of the GIEL group has participated in the XVIII International Conference of the Sociedad Española de Didáctica de la Lengua y la Literatura held in Ciudad Real among 29 November and 1 December 2017.

Communications presented in the conference, titled “Visión histórica y prospectiva de la educación lingüística y literaria” (Historical approach and prospective of linguistic and literary education), were based on eight subjects:

1.     Language didactics L1 and L2. Historical approach

2.     Language didactics L1 and L2. Prospective of the discipline

3.     Literature didactics and development of reading habits. Historical approach and prospective

4.     Language and Literature Didactics in foreign languages

5.     Reading and literary education. History of literary canon for reading training

6.     Sociocultural perspective of literary and linguistics education: past challenges, current challenges

7.     New technologies and teaching innovation

8.     Regulatory and curriculum framework of Language and Literature Didactics

GIEL presented the following communications:
