Memoria de un viaje project. A teenager perspective from responsible tourism written by Victòria Abad and Amparo Tortajada -lecturer of Geography and History of the IES Camp de Morvedre- has been selected in the MEDC programme Rutas científicas, artísticas y literarias 2017.

The route given was an itinerary around Navarra and Aragón from 21 to 27 May that included different activities: visits to the Palacio Real de Olite, in the Barásoain wind farm or in the public universities of Navarra and Zaragoza, and routes around Pamplona, Jaca, or around the Foz de Lumbier.

The writing project presented is directed by a student of 2º ESO and was put into practice in two groups of this educational level: one of them formed by 20 students and other by 14 students of 2º PMAR (Programme for improving learning and performance). The aim of the project is to create collectively a travel book. During the route, students collected graphic materials and were documented for illustrating the experiences and including in their text different types of explanations. After the trip, students wrote their texts through a didactic sequence divided in three written phases (work representation and planning, texting and revision).

Lecturers observed that the route participation and writing the travel book of the project have improved some writing aspects in the students’ texts:

1. The route caused that writing proposals were defined in real communicative situations, students being involved in the task of writing and them being focused on planning and reviewing their texts.
2. Students have carried out a more aware reflection of their texts.
3. The writing project allowed them to include knowledge of different subjects (sciences, art, history or geography).
