Massive DNA sequencing system
Brand: NextSeq 550 Illumina
Type: Equipment
Type: Equipment
Massive DNA sequencing equipment based on sequencing by synthesis, using nucleotides labelled with fluorophores of different colours, and capturing images of the emitted fluorescence.
Description
This equipment offers the possibility to perform massive sequencing studies in a wide variety of research projects such as the sequencing of complete exomes and transcriptomes, small and medium genomes, gene panels and amplicons, both in humans and in animal and plant species. In addition, it has a scanner function for Illumina Infinium arrays.
Practical implementation
- Complete and coding transcriptome sequencing (RNA-Seq).
- RNA sequencing of Low input/Single cell samples.
- Sequencing of small RNAs (microRNAs, piRNAs, and other small RNAs).
- Exome sequencing.
- Whole genome sequencing.
- Targeted sequencing (designed and custom panels, amplicons, capture).
- Identification of methylation patterns.
- DNA-Protein interaction studies (ChiP-Seq).
- Methylation arrays (Infinium Methylation EPIC) and CytoSNP.
