Ana Isabel Martínez will present the pedagogical use of AI in language teaching in a seminar organized by the GIEL group.

On April 28, 2026, at 4:30 p.m., the online seminar entitled “Material audiovisual, IA i ensenyament de llengües: experiències docents” will take place, organized by the Educational Innovation Group GIEL. This activity is part of a broader set of initiatives aimed at fostering pedagogical reflection and methodological innovation in the field of language education, and will feature Ana Isabel Martínez as a guest presenting institution.

In this context, Ana Isabel Martínez will deliver the presentation “La IA al servei del professorat: una aliada per a la pràctica docent” , focusing on the analysis of the emerging role of artificial intelligence as a support tool in the design, implementation, and assessment of teaching and learning processes. The presentation will highlight the potential of these technologies to enhance teaching practices and promote more flexible and adaptive learning environments.

Additionally, the session will explore specific teaching experiences in which the integration of audiovisual resources and intelligent technologies has contributed to improving educational practice, with particular emphasis on the adoption of criteria for critical, ethical, and responsible use. This perspective responds to the increasing need to develop pedagogical frameworks that incorporate technology in alignment with educational objectives and quality standards.

The seminar is part of the PIEC project “Produccions audiovisuals i intel·ligència artificial a l’aula de llengües. Experiències docents entorn a la creació de vídeos” (PIEC-3900047), developed in collaboration with the Department of Language and Literature Didactics and the SFPIE. The project aims to promote didactic experimentation and knowledge transfer related to the use of artificial intelligence and audiovisual production in educational contexts.

Ana Isabel Martínez‘s participation in this event reinforces its commitment to pedagogical innovation and to the critical and well-founded integration of emerging technologies in contemporary teaching practice.
