Lucía Bellés Calvera, Assistant Professor in the Department of English and German Studies at the Universitat de València and member of the TeLL-ME research group, has published, together with Begoña Bellés Fortuño, researcher in the SPARK group at Universitat Jaume I, the chapter A multimodal discourse analysis of gender-based hate speech in political memes with De Gruyter Mouton.

The chapter appears in the volume Discourse Approaches to Gender-Based Violence: Deconstructing Social Inequality Through Linguistic Inquiry and examines gender-based hate speech in political memes from a multimodal perspective, focusing on the interaction between text, image, and sociopolitical context.
