The Universitat Jaume I recognizes Anabel Martínez as a mentor in its Mentoring Professional programme to enhance employability.
The Universitat Jaume I has held the event “Mentoring Professional UJI: 2026 informational networking and recognition of mentors and mentees 2024 and 2025”, a session that, beyond providing an institutional overview of the programme, highlighted the central role of mentors, with particular emphasis on Anabel Martínez, a member of the TeLL-ME group, recognized for her professional guidance within the programme.
In this context, the recognition of Anabel Martínez can be situated within a conceptualization of mentoring as an expert-guided orientation mechanism aimed at the transfer of professional capital and the development of mentees’ competencies. Her contribution, in her capacity as a mentor, exemplifies a model of structured support grounded in strategic guidance, professional reflexivity, and the facilitation of informed labour market integration processes.
The event, organized by the Office for Professional Integration and Internships (OIPEP), was chaired by the Vice-Rector for Students and Healthy Living, Mamen Pastor, together with M. Isabel García, representative of LABORA, and M. Isabel Beas, head of OIPEP. During the session, the outcomes of the fourth edition of the programme were presented, involving 25 mentors and 21 mentees, alongside indicators of high satisfaction and positive impact in terms of employability.
Within this framework, the contribution of mentors such as Anabel Martínez acquires particular relevance, given that the programme is conceived as a structured pathway of professional guidance that supports the clarification of career objectives, the development of job search strategies, and the enhancement of key skills, including CV preparation, interview performance, and professional networking. Her role as a mentor aligns with these objectives, functioning as a catalyst for practical knowledge transfer and integration into specific professional environments.
The event also included direct testimonies, featuring mentor Juan Francisco Baudet Toribio and mentee Claudia Dolz Tornador, as well as a networking session aimed at recruiting new professionals for the 2026 edition.
The programme benefits from the strategic collaboration of LABORA and is embedded within the I Employability and Entrepreneurship Plan of the Universitat Jaume I, consolidating its role as a key instrument in the transition from academia to the professional sphere, in which the mentor figure constitutes a structural component of quality and effectiveness in the training process.
