The case of the Dáesh in Syria", presented by Joan Marc Ferrando Hernández.
The work, which analyses the impact of attacks on cultural heritage during armed conflicts, has been awarded 1,000 euros and the recognition of the UNESCO-UV Chair in Peace, Interculturality and Sustainability Studies.
This distinction, awarded for the first time in 2024 (DOGV 25.09.2024), seeks to promote research on key issues for global coexistence. The assessment committee, after evaluating the nominations with a score of 68 points in this case, proposed the award to Ferrando Hernández for his academic contribution in a field of international urgency.
The resolution, published today, recalls that the award is part of the competences delegated to the Vice-Rectorate for Innovation and Transfer and reflects the UV's commitment to the protection of heritage and peace building.
