The “UNESCO-UV Chair on Global Education in the Mediterranean: Studies for Peace, Interculturality and Sustainability” will attend the event aligning its values of peace, equality and non-violence.
The coming March will bring the UNESCO-UV Chair of Global Education in the Mediterranean to the 6th International Award for Peace and Non-violence 2025. The event is organised by Comune di Monteleone di Puglia in collaboration with Gandhi Centre, “Martin Luther King” Institute and Cooperativa Aladino. This distinguished award has made women its main theme this year, and it acknowledges those who promote peace and non-violence.
Professor Patrizia Panarello, Co-Principal of the UNESCO-UV Chair will be one of the speakers in the event. The award goes for two remarkable women: Dr. Lucia Capuzzi, journalist in Avvenire, and Dr. Khady Sene, Head of Caritas Diocesana de Foggia-Bovino. Both have been promoting human rights and social justice unceasingly.
The event will also welcome renowned individuals like S. E. Mons, Giorgio Ferretti, archbishop of Foggia-Bovino Diocese and Raffaele Piemontese, vicepresident of the Puglia Region among many others. UNESCO-UV Chair of Global Education participation in the award strengthens the bonds between the academic institutions and social organisations fighting for a fair and peaceful world.
