Condolences for the loss of Dr. Federico Mayor Zaragoza, father of UNESCO Chairs

We want to express our deepest condolences for Dr. Federico Mayor Zaragoza, who created the UNESCO Chairs, outstanding scientist, talkative politician, promoter of world peace education and an intellectual and moral compass we can hardly part ways with. We feel indebted with him, with the man that gave us courage, joy and confidence to keep creating the UNESCO-UV Chairs in times of uncertainty and low spirits. We hope to commemorate him and his legacy with any and every act of this Chair. May he rest in peace.
