The hybrid model refers to simultaneous teaching in a virtual and face-to-face environment.
It requires the design and facilitation of learning activities that are simultaneously effective for the student in two different learning environments.
Recommendations:
- Plan each session. It may be of interest to design the sessions so that attention to online and face-to-face student activity is done separately.
- Control time: interaction with online learners may require more time, especially if group activities are carried out.
- Have a person to help monitor the chat.
- Encourage whole group discussion.
- Conduct short end-of-class activities to review the learning outcome of the session.
- Practice. Various support guides and training courses are available.
A hybrid model can also be understood as the modality of teaching the classes with a greater theoretical content in a non-classroom mode and the practical sessions in a classroom mode.
