Academic internships enable companies and entities to add university talent, to contribute to their learning and to build connections with the Universitat de València.
Companies can admit students as interns in the following types:
- Curricular internships, linked to a particular degree and included in the curriculum with the conditions (length, period and schedule) established for each degree.
- The company suggests an offer linked to a particular degree.
- The assignment of students corresponds to the Universitat de València and it is regulated with previously established academic criteria.

- Extracurricular internships, voluntary in nature for students, which are done supplementary for their academic learning and enable companies to have more flexibility in defining profiles and selection processes.

Companies can opt to:
- Suggest directly to a student, informing them the selection via the Student Selection Announcement document
- Deadline: 10 July 2026. It will be reactivated in September 2026.
- Submit an offer, to receive candidacies and to undertake a selection process.
- Deadline: 30 June 2026. The form for the 2026-2027 academic year will be reactivated in September 2026.
- Suggest directly to a student, informing them the selection via the Student Selection Announcement document
- In every case:
- Internships cannot start without the internship agreement formalised by ADEIT.
- ADEIT will check that students meet the academic requirements and will provide the internship agreement to all the parties involved.

Follow-up and tutoring
During the development of the internship, the company or entity must:
- Assign a company adviser, who is the person in charge of the guidance and the follow-up of the students.
- Facilitate the development of the agreed training programme.
Incidences and modifications
Any incidence or modification in the internship data must be informed to ADEIT following the established procedures.
Social Security and insurance
- Companies or entities that admit students as interns have to obey the obligations in terms of Social Security, regarding the current regulations (Royal Decree 2/2023, 16 March).
- In the case of paid internships, healthcare will be provided by the mutual insurance of the company.
- In unpaid internships, the protocol established by the Universitat de València will be implemented.
- Current regulations establish a 95 % bonus on the Social Security contributions associated with academic internships. This means a significant reduction of the costs for the collaborator entities. The updated details of these obligations and bonuses can be consulted in the affiliation web of the Universitat of València.
Internship assessment
Once the internship has been completed:
- The company adviser will receive a notification via email to verify internship data and to complete the final assessment of the student.
- After the internship has been validated, the academic supervisor will be allowed to review the assessment.
Certification
- After the internship has been completed, the company or entity will issue a student certificate that features the speciality in which their training has focused, its length and, if applicable, their performance.
- The company adviser will receive the collaboration certificate via email as an acknowledgement of the tutoring task to the students.

ADEIT provides companies with a Company Adviser Guide with practical orientation for the follow-up and guidance of students during the internships.

- Obtain a collaboration certificate provided by the Universitat de València
- Request the Card of the Universitat de València, which enables them:
- The use of the sport facilities.
- The loan of books from the library.
- Discounts on the Tenda and Library of the University
- The activation of an UV email account (if the person has not one active)
