The missión of the  Social Security Section is to plan, manage, monitor and control all procedures relates to the affiliation of employees to the General Social Security System and to calculate and pay social security contributions for all University employees.

The activities carried out by the Social Security Section in the development and coordination of all actions arising from its operations are as follows:

• Calculation of social security contributions, both those of the employee and those of the company, verification of those witheld from payroll, and submission to the General Treasury ofr Social Security.
• Processing registrations, deregistrations, and data changes with Social Security.
• Processing applications for multiple employment before the Social Security.
• Processing requests for refunds of unduly paid fees.
• Management of Temporary Disability situations. Submisision of financial reports related to sick leave to the National Social Security Institute.
•  Issuance of the corresponding DELT@ report when the T.I. is derivated from an accident at work or ocupational disease.
• Forwarding of member contribution files to the  Mutual Society of Civil Servants of the State (MUFACE).
• Company certificates with contribution bases for benefits (unemployment, birth and child care, etc.)..
• Certifications  that the University is up to date with its fees ( for grants, etc...).
• Cost certifications for the purposes of justifying the expenditure of the various cost centers and providing the corresponding justification (RLC and RNT).

• Provision of social security contributions data for inclusion in the University´s expenditure budget.
• Referral to the Accounting Service of the distribution of the cost of worker´s Social Security included in all monthly contribution settlements.
• Attention to users.
• Any other task that needs to be performed and that is related to social security contributions.
