The exhibition, developed by the University of Valencia with the support unit of the Office of the Vice-Principal for Territorial Projection and Participation, is a multidisciplinary work in which many specialists from different fields have participated. It includes the most unique aspects of the Albufera, such as the lake, the marsh, the sandbanks ... and analyses the interesting botanical, faunal, environmental, agronomic, historical, cultural and socio-economic values of this emblematic space enjoyed by the city of Valencia and an important part of the municipalities in the metropolitan area and its surroundings.
It consists of 25 panels developed by the teaching and research staff of the University, the Natural Park technicians and other specialists linked to the the Albufera (Confederación Hidrográfica del Júcar, Conselleria de Medio Ambiente, etc.). The University of Valencia, through the Office of the Vice-Principal for Territorial Projection and Participation, aims to collaborate with the towns and regions of its area of influence through this and other initiatives, in order to strengthen ties between Valencian society and the group of university researchers.
