It is possible to request the credit recognition of credits obtained in official courses different from those being taken at this or another University. In addition, credits obtained in other official higher education courses and accredited work and professional experience may be also recognised, provided that they are related to the competences of the degree. In accordance with the Universitat de València Regulations.

The taxes established by the Autonomous Community will be applied to the study of the applications and the incorporation of the recognised credits into the Academic Record.

Credit recognition of credits completed in Degree or Master’s degrees

The Application Form can be presented through Online Office (from July 20 to September 15, 2023)

It shall be submitted:

  • Official Academic Transcript
  • Photocopy of the curricula stamped by the centre
  • Photocopy of the programs of the subjects taken, sealed by the department or the centre.
  • Recognition form

If the studies from which recognition is sought are from the Faculty of Biological Sciences itself, only the application form needs to be submitted through Online Office UV.

The Faculty has established recognition tables between the Degrees that are taught in the centre.

The credit recognition from Master’s Degree is regulated in the Guidelines for the recognition of credits in studies leading to Master’s Degree and Doctoral Studies.

To validate foreign studies, it is necessary to present a certified translation of all the documentation, legalized through diplomatic channels (in accordance with the Hague Convention, if applicable) and proof of payment of the taxes established by the autonomous community for the study of applications.

Taxes

If the application is approved favourably, the corresponding invoice will be generated so that the interested party can pay the taxes established by the Generalitat Valenciana (25% of the price of the credits to be recognised).

Taxes for the recognition of credits will not be paid in the case of the Degree students who obtain the credit recognition that are of a basic nature in the Degree of origin carried out at the same University and attached to the same area of knowledge (Sciences). This exemption will apply to a single change of Degree and in a single direction (art. 148.9 of Legislative Decree 1/2005, of 25th February, of the Consell de la Generalitat).

Recognition of credits in Degrees from Higher-Technician Vocational Training Certificate (Spanish Vocational Education)

In compliance with Royal Decree 1618/2011 of 14th November on the recognition of studies in the field of higher education, the corresponding recognition tables have been established.

The Application Form can be presented through Online Office (from July 20 to September 15, 2023)

It shall be submitted:

  • Official Academic Certificate
  • Vocational Training Certificate

Taxes

If the application is approved favourably, the corresponding invoice will be generated so that the interested party can pay the taxes established by the Generalitat Valenciana (25% of the price of the credits to be recognised).

Credit recognition from professional or work experience

This form of recognition is regulated in Articles 4 and 11 of the Regulation on the recognition and transfer of UV credits.

Accredited work and professional experience can be recognized whenever:

1.- Accredited work and professional experience may also be recognised in the form of credits that count towards the obtaining of an official degree, providing that such experience is closely related to the knowledge and competences of the university degree.

2- The academic committee responsible for the corresponding official degree will determine the minimum period of accredited work or professional experience required to be able to apply for and obtain this credit recognition, which in no case may be less than 6 months.

This recognition must be made, in general, in relation to the subject “Traineeship”.

The number of credits recognized may not exceed 15% of the total credits of the degree.

Accreditation to be submitted:

  • Documentation accrediting the fulfilment of the activity.

If the activity is performed for a company or organization, it must be submitted:

- Certification from the company or organisation in which it is specified that the interested party  has exercised or carried out the work or professional activity. Its recognition is requested and the period of time of the same, which must necessarily coincide with that reflected in the employment report.

- Labour report that must accredit the labour seniority in the contribution group that the applicant considers to be related to the competences foreseen in the corresponding studies.

- If the activity has been carried out on a self-employed basis, it will be necessary to submit census certificate, collegial certificate or any other documentation proving that the said activity has been carried out on a self-employed basis.

Taxes

If the application is approved favourably, the corresponding invoice will be generated so that the interested party can pay the taxes established by the Generalitat Valenciana (100% of the price of the credits to be recognised).

Credit recognition from university activities participation

Students can add up to 6 ECTS credits to their record, in the form of academic recognition, for participation in university cultural, sports, student representation, solidarity and cooperation activities that have been carried out at the Universitat de València during the period of their university studies. In accordance with the Universitat de València Regulations.

The list of enrolment activities proposed by the Universitat that can be recognised is available at the  Student Services Website.

Recognition shall be requested jointly and once the student has enrolled for all the credits necessary to complete the degree, except for the optional credits for which recognition is to be requested. This is important because once enrolled, the student will not be able to request withdrawal from optional subjects for this reason.

The application form is made through the electronic record, attaching a scanned copy of the certificates that prove the completion of the university activities for which recognition is requested.

Once the documentation has been verified, if the recognition resolution is favourable, the student will receive in their UV email account, the receipt corresponding to the fee established by the Generalitat Valenciana (25% of the price of the credits to be recognised). Once the receipt has been paid, the corresponding credits will be added to the students academic record.
